The Ohio Senate stands as a forte of great historical progression and dignity, as part of the long process of national improvement as well as its pride. Ohio Senate was a part of the Northwester Territory. The governor and three judges who got appointed by Congress got the Senate to make utmost progress, independently. The revision of a 2^nd constitution came when the need arose in 1851. The executive officers and judges got represented by voting and a new officer, in the form of the lieutenant government, was represented as well. This figure was to provide over the Senate. This how the Ohio State Legislature came into existence, shape and form, bringing more unity to the form of the state’s independent governing body.
